My Olympus dilemma

I am a huge fan of Olympus lenses and I just love the 12-60mm ZWD which pretty much stays on my E-30 permanently. I am also saving up for a Olympus Zuiko 50mm F2 which has great reviews. BUT, and it's a big but...can I live with the higher noise and the lower resolution of my camera (and I have recently upgraded to the E-30) in comparison to other brands such as Nikon and Canon. There are also rumours that Olympus is no longer going to concentrate on making dSLRS but instead will look to the future with their mirrorless innovations such as the Pen-1 and micro 4/3rds.
